The location

Staff is charming and does try really hard to help and go the extra mile. They still don’t pick up on small habits (they will rearrange things in the room to their original position, regardless of your preferences) but you’ll always be unmistakably addressed by name and with utmost kindness and genuine care. Breakfast is delicious and the rooms are delightfully appointed. Excellent amenities and original tea blends.

We stayed here in April 2023. It is a beautiful, small hotel in a unique old building which was previously a bank. We were so fortunate as we were upgraded to a small suite which made the experience (for our 20th wedding anniversary) even more special. It was fortunate too because some of the standard rooms, owing to the shape and features of the old building are a bit on the small side - definitely worth considering the upgrade. The major selling point is that the hotel is in the heart of the old city, walkable distance (or a short hop on the tram) to all the major sites - TopKapi, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Grand Bazaar… and also for trips on the Bosphorous and close to the Galata bridge for venturing into the Beyoğlu district for shopping and restaurants. The hotel itself is a little oasis of calm in the midst of a very bustling and always crowded area. And there are spectacular views from the rooftop which we enjoyed over a gin & tonic brought up to us by the attentive staff. In fact, the staff and service are really exceptional - welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. But overall, a fabulous stay and would warmly recommend.

Our stay in orientbank was absolutely delightful, The staff went out of their way to help, the service was above and beyond, they really want you as a guest to be as comfortable as you can, rooms are small but we felt very safe and well looked after. The hotel is in a great location, 3 minute walk to spice bazaar and 10 minutes to Sultanahmet & Grandbazaar , very close to the port and train. Beautiful, new, very clean boutique hotel in old bank building with very good window insulation.
